Lifetime Care Commitment

Plastic and aesthetic surgery creates lasting changes, so we view the patient-surgeon relationship as a lifelong commitment. Our Lifetime Care Commitment includes unlimited complimentary surgical review consultations for 12 months post-operatively. If you have concerns or questions in the years following your procedure, Dr. Rubinstein and his clinical team will ensure you continue to receive care. If clinical complications arise, further visits will be bulk billed with a valid GP referral.

Dr Rubinstein is devoted to his patients’ long-term well-being. He wants you to feel comfortable and supported when returning to the clinic, whether it’s one year or 20 years after your surgery.

Kindness & Courtesy Policy

The Lifetime Care Commitment relies on mutual respect and transparency between patients and surgeon. Patients are treated as we would like to be treated, the same courtesy is expected in return. Unreasonable behaviour or harassment will result in the termination of the Lifetime Care Commitment and access to follow up services.

Consultations are an opportunity for both the patient and surgeon to assess if they are a good fit. This process does not obligate either party to proceed with treatment if they are uncomfortable. Confidentiality during consultations is paramount, and recording conversations without consent is prohibited. Any breach of confidentiality, including sharing information online, will be taken seriously and could have legal repercussions.

Postoperative appointments are crucial for proper care and are scheduled at the time of booking the procedure. Patients must attend these appointments or reschedule in a timely manner to ensure continued care.

Addressing Dissatisfaction with Results

Dr. Rubinstein adheres to the highest standards and aims to ensure every patient is satisfied with their results. Before surgery, he discusses patient expectations and potential outcomes, acknowledging that results cannot be guaranteed due to various uncontrollable factors.

During preoperative consultations, Dr. Rubinstein thoroughly discusses potential risks and complications. Patients must consider these when consenting to surgery and follow postoperative instructions closely. If a patient is dissatisfied with their results, they can consult with Dr. Rubinstein. If further improvements are possible and advisable, additional surgery may be offered, possibly incurring costs such as hospital and anaesthesia fees.

For further evaluation, patients can seek a second opinion from another experienced plastic surgeon or request an investigation by the Health Ombudsman and AHPRA. This process involves reviewing the clinical record and obtaining independent expert opinions.
